Great expectations for the speech of European Parliament President Antonio Tajani on Friday 10 at 6:15 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce.
From the challenges of Industry 4.0 to the role of human capital: real economy of enterprises and territories, industrial relations, robotics, school and university training, technical and humanistic skills. These are some of the pivotal themes of the tenth edition of the Festival Città Impresa, scheduled in Bergamo for the fall edition from Nov. 10 to 12. The Festival, directed by Dario Di Vico, is promoted by ItalyPost in collaboration with Corriere della Sera Foundation, with co-sponsors Bergamo Chamber of Commerce, Province of Bergamo, University of Bergamo, Bergamo Municipality. The event, curated by Goodnet Territori in Rete, enjoys the patronage of Confindustria Bergamo and has UBI Banca and Brembo as main partners. Content partner is Kilometro Rosso, while Glasford International Italia and Sacbo are sponsors and publishing house Egea and Economia&Management are media partners.
Born 10 years ago as an event that connects the business world with the territories, the Enterprise City Festival chooses Bergamo, one of the great symbol-cities of Italian manufacturing and one of the territories with the strongest industrial vocation in the country, as the venue for its fall edition. The protagonists of this event will be mainly young people, but also entrepreneurs, managers, professionals, who will meet in a three-day event that will invade the historic centers of the cities, to discuss and reflect on the economic, social and cultural prospects of businesses as a whole and of the territories, trying to focus on their limits and potential, addressing both issues of stringent topicality and perspective.
The Festival Program
The event will open its doors at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 10. After greetings from Bergamo Chamber of Commerce President Paolo Malvestiti, Bergamo Mayor Giorgio Gori, University of Bergamo Rector Remo Morzenti Pellegrini and Province President Matteo Rossi, dialogues, coordinated by Festival Director Dario Di Vico, will follow with Alberto Brivio president Imprese&Territorio, and Stefano Scaglia president Confindustria Bergamo, as well as the opening interview with economist Francesco Giavazzi.
In the afternoon, starting at 2 pm.30, three appointments: in the first Simona Camerano head of research and studies at Cassa Depositi e Prestiti will discuss with Francesco Daveri professor of Practice SDA Bocconi and Guido Corbetta from the editorial board of Economia&Management the certainties and uncertainties of economic recovery; in the second meeting (3 p.m.), coordinated by Francesco Seghezzi director Fondazione ADAPT, will discuss “Apprenticeships and internships, what works and what doesn’t” with Gianni Bocchieri director of Education, Training and Labor Regione Lombardia, Rossella Fasola public affairs manager Randstad Italia, and Paolo Ferrari director of Human Resources and Organization Brembo. The underlying theme of the third event (3 p.m.) will be “Technology and SMEs, the dream of an Italian Fraunhofer”: speakers at this meeting will include Cristiano Arrigoni director Bergamo Sviluppo, Sergio Cavalieri, pro-rector of Technology Transfer, Innovation and Research Enhancement University of Bergamo, Fabrizio Dughiero pro-rector of Technology Transfer and Business Relations University of Padua, and Vincenzo Russi, e-Novia CEO. Massimo Sideri, director of Corriere Innovazione-Corriere della Sera , will lead the meeting. The afternoon of Friday, Nov. 10, continues with two other outstanding events: in the first (4 p.m.), dedicated to the ” Phantom of the fake news“, after the introduction and greeting of the rector of the University of Bergamo Remo Morzenti Pellegrini, Luciano Fontana director Corriere della Sera and Paola Severino, rector LUISS University of Rome, will be the protagonists of the discussion, with the moderation of Marcello Zacché, journalist de

At 4:30 p.m., however, the question that will be sought to be answered will be “Where does the Human Technopole stand?” After an introduction by Stefano Paleari president of the Human Technopole coordination committee, Giuseppe Remuzzi scientific director Istituto di Ricerche Farmacologiche “Mario Negri” and Alessandro Spada vice president Assolombarda will speak. Luigi Ripamonti head of Corriere Salute will coordinate the discussion. Instead, at 6:15 p.m. (instead of 5:30 p.m. as originally scheduled) it will be the turn of Emma Marcegaglia president Business Europe and Antonio Tajani president of the European Parliament: coordinated by Corriere della Sera deputy editorDaniele Manca, they will dialogue on the theme “The European industry we would like.” The second day of the Festival – Saturday, Nov. 11 – will open at 10 a.m. at Kilometro Rosso with a speech by Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, who will be preceded by greetings from Alberto Bombassei and Andrea Moltrasio. At 11:30 a.m. the Festival will resume in the city with a series of events, initially scheduled for 10 a.m., on the major themes of the economy and development.
One of them will be dedicated to the theme “Should we now be afraid of China?”: introducing the meeting to be held in the Mosaic Room of the Chamber of Commerce Andrea E. Goldstein chief economist Nomisma and member of the Easternational Scientific Committee, author of Red Capitalism (Università Bocconi Editore). Alberto Baban president Piccola Industria di Confindustria (Small Industry of Confindustria) and Alberto Rossi head of Marketing Fondazione Italia Cina will then speak at the debate, moderated by journalist Giada Messetti. At the same time, in the Viterbi space of the Province of Bergamo, they will discuss “Attractiveness of territories: what multinationals are asking for” with Enrico Borgarello group research director Italcementi-HeidelbergCement Group, Massimo Quizielvù managing partner Glasford International Italy, and Luca Vignaga, HR director Marzotto Group. Saturday evening will instead be dedicated to a very special event, starting at 9 p.m. at the Aula Magna Sant’Agostino. Sunday, Nov. 12 the Città Impresa Festival moves to the Kilometro Rosso Science and Technology Park, where at 11:30 a.m. the Festival’s closing event will be held, dedicated to young people and their job prospects after graduation. Dialoguing with them, coordinated by Nicola Saldutti of Corriere della Sera, will be Alberto Bombassei president Brembo, Maurizio Del Conte presidentAnpal and Andrea Moltrasio chairman of the supervisory board UBI Banca.
FESTIVAL VENUES. From Friday, Nov. 10 to Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017, the 10th edition of the Città Impresa Festival will take place in an ideal triangle, the vertices of which are the Bergamo Chamber of Commerce – Sala Mosaico,Confindustria Bergamo – Sala Giunta, Sala Galmozzi of the Bergamo City Council and the Province of Bergamo – Spazio Viterbi.
